Weekend Fun Baby!!!! February 24, 2009

On Saturday, Ariyana and her mommy went shopping for Richard for his birthday. We were gone for 4 hours and had a lot of fun. Her daddy stayed home to cut wood up for firewood. Ariyana only had one melt down while shopping and it happened in Kohls. She was getting fussy sitting in the buggy, so I let her out for a minute to walk around. When she got down, she took off running. I couldn’t get her to hold my hand or stay still so after like 3 minutes, I put her back in the buggy………..well she was not having that at all and just started crying. I finally picked her up and had to let her hold my credit card to get her to stop crying. Then we left the store and she was fine. Overall though, she was a perfect angel and we had a blast together.

On Sunday, we went to Jenn and Robb’s house to celebrate Richard’s birthday. Jennifer had food set up all nice and cute and we all had a really good time. Ariyana was a little fussy there but not too bad. She is into this new thing where she counts; 1, 2 real quietly and then yells 3 really loud, it is so funny. Although 3 sounds nothing like the word 3 when she does it, it is still hilarious. She did that a couple of times at Jenn’s house. She had a really good time playing with her family Sunday, I think she misses them sometimes.

Shopping with my friend, Amelia October 20, 2008

Sorry I haven’t written in like a week, we have been so busy.  Saturday my good friend Lisa and I took Ariyana and Amelia (her baby, she is 1 month younger than Ariyana) shopping with us down at North Point.  We had such a good time.  The girls had such a good time together.

Our mom's are crazy!!!

I am so glad we got to all hang out together, it has been far too long. I really enjoyed it and so did Ariyana. She got a little antsy being in the stroller so long, but for the most part both babies were really good. Ariyana just wants to walk now instead of riding in the stroller. I also found a couple of cute shirts, so the trip overall was a success.

Zach was at the GT/Clemson game and had a blast. And what was even better was that GT won…..GO JACKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shopping with the girls October 1, 2008

After the picture at the bank drama (see photo drama), Ariyana and I headed to the outlets to meet my friend Lisa and her baby Amelia. Amelia is only a month younger than Ariyana so it is really cool. When we first got there, we had to feed the girls lunch. We went to the food court, bought us lunch and fed the girls. Then we were able to go shopping. Lisa and I were on a mission to find baby shoes and we failed. We were looking for little white velcro shoes like the little Keds shoes and they didn’t have any like that in size 3 anywhere….we looked at every kid store and shoe store. We did, however, find some cute clothes for the girls and Lisa bought an adorable Halloween costume for Amelia, it is a flower. We were there for like 3 hours and the girls did great….they didn’t really cry or anything. Ariyana got a little antsy being in her stroller for that long, but for the most part she was fine. I was worried that Ariyana would be cranky because she slept til 9:00 that morning but didn’t take a nap at all so I thought she would be tired and cranky but she was fine. Amelia was fine the whole time, she is such a laid back good baby. She just goes with the flow and enjoys it. Lisa and I were best friends growing up and think it would be cool if our girls were best friends especially because they are so close in age. We had a really good time shopping.

Jennifer and Robb’s Wedding

Sorry I haven’t written in like a week, I have been very busy. My sister Jennifer got married last Saturday, September 20th. It was such a great wedding, it turned out perfect and was so much fun. It was kind of a weekend event really. My mom picked Ariyana up on Thursday from daycare and took her home with her. Then my aunts and grandma watched Ariyana while my mom went down to the mall with my stepdad to pick his tux up. Zach and I also went to the mall to get his tux and actually ran into my mom and stepdad. We ended up eating dinner with them. Then Zach and I were on a manhunt to find shoes for Ariyana to wear with her dress to the wedding. While looking for shoes, I found another dress for her to wear to the wedding (that makes 3 dresses I have bought for the wedding). This one was so cute, but the only shoes I could find that would really match it were black ones and the dress was white and pink. After we finally got home, we packed for the weekend and by the time we were done, it was midnight and we went to bed.

Friday Zach and I worked til noon and then headed straight down to the mall. We had to go to Mall of GA because I need a bra so I could wear my dress to the rehearsal dinner and they only had it at that mall. After doing that, we drove to Northpoint mall to pick up Zach’s shirt because the one from yesterday didn’t fit right so they had to order another one. When we ordered the second one last night, we didn’t realize we would have to go to Mall of GA or we would have had it ordered there. But since we didn’t know, we had it delivered to Northpoint because it was on our way to the rehearsal. Around 3pm we finally make it to the hotel to get dressed for the rehearsal. We saw Ariyana for like 5 minutes and then we had to leave. She stayed at the hotel with my aunts and cousins while we went to rehearse. After the rehearsal and the dinner they had a desert bar for all the family at the hotel. We got there around 8pm and we could finally see Ariyana for a little while….she looked so cute. We were all eating cake and Ariyana saw it and wanted some. She started reaching for it and got so upset that she couldn’t have any. Melissa and I decided to give her some whip cream….big mistake because then she just wanted more and more. When I got finished with my piece she started crying because she wanted more. My mom ended up giving her a couple of bites of cake. At about 10p, Melissa and I had to take my dad home and Zach headed to the hotel that the boys were staying. Poor Ariyana was so tired by that time, but she was still up with everyone hanging out at the desert room. She didn’t end up going to bed til like 11p, and she spent the night with my mom and stepdad because I stayed with the bridal party and Zach stayed with the boys.

The next day was the BIG wedding day. The bridal party and moms went to the salon to get our hair and make up done and Zach was with Robb so Ariyana hung out with my aunts and cousins. When the wedding started and I was walking down the aisle, I saw my little Ariyana in the arms of my cousin. She was with her the whole wedding (a little over an hour) and didn’t even cry once. She did babble at one point but it was only for like 2 seconds. And one time I heard something drop on the floor and it was Ariyana playing the “uh oh” game. I was very proud of her because I was worried she would be cranky since she went to bed late and I wasn’t sure whether she had a nap or not.

I finally got to hold Ariyana at the reception after the dinner. She was so cute all dressed up and she let us dance with her for a little while (although she was doing her worried look some of the time). Then we went outside on the patio for a little while to get some air. We put Ariyana down to let her walk around for a little while. The ground was like tiny packed in rocks….well Ariyana fell down and scratched her knee. It started bleeding and we had to put a band-aid on it. At about 8pm, Ariyana started to get really tired so my grandma held her in her lap and Ariyana just fell asleep. After the reception, Ariyana had to ride back to the hotel with my aunt because we all rode on the party bus. We got back to the hotel and change and then went downstairs to the hospitality room to hang out with our family. When Zach and I got down there, Ariyana was in her pjs but wide awake. We hung out for a while down there with everyone and then at like 11:30p we all went to bed.

The next morning Ariyana slept til 9:45 (she usually sleeps til 6:45) because she was so exhausted from the weekend…and she would have slept longer but I woke her up because we had to get ready to check-out. everyone left that morning except my aunt whose flight wasn’t until later that day. So my mom, stepdad, aunt, Zach, Ariyana, and I all went to lunch and then Zach, Ariyana, and me went shopping before going home. Before we left the hotel that day, I was in my mom’s room talking and feeding Ariyana some cereal and my mom told me that Ariyana had her 2nd tooth on the top right above the bottom one she has. She said she noticed it Friday and it was barely poking through the skin. How crazy is that, I haven’t seen my daughter enough this weekend to even notice that she got a tooth?? Anyway, it was a great weekend but we were all tired when we got home.
