All day long on Sunday, we would say “hi” to Ariyana and she would say it back….and we were just so excited that she was saying that. Well then after Zach gave her a bath, he was putting on her pjs on the changing table and he was saying “baby” to her over and over again. We have been trying to get her to say baby for a little while now but with no success. Well then out of nowhere she says “baby.” Zach got so excited, I could hear him yelling in the kitchen. He kept saying, “she said baby, she said baby.” I told him that was awesome and I wanted to hear her say it to. He brought her down in the living room and she was playing on her rocking snail and Zach was sitting in front of her saying baby over and over. Well she said it again and again and again. I ran and got the camera……so excited that she had said her first word besides hi. I thought for sure she wouldn’t say it again since I got the camera. But to my surprise, she said it again TWICE while the video was rolling!!!!! The first one wasn’t that clear on video, but the second one was AWESOME and below you can hear it.
Peek a boo!!! November 6, 2008
Tuesday night for some reason Ariyana was so hyper. She just kept walking (very quickly) around in the living room, through the kitchen and dining room and back into the living room (it makes a circle). She would be laughing the whole time continuously. Some of the time she would throw her head back and laugh and still try to walk and she would fall down, but that did not stop her, she just got back up and started laughing again. She would go to the cabinets open them, close them and start laughing again….it was so funny. I don’t know what they fed her at daycare, but I have never seen her in such a happy giggly mood. She laughed for like 45 minutes doing this…around and around. It is so funny how the littlest things can entertain her for so long.
So last night after Ariyana’s bath, Zach was getting her dressed in her pajamas and she just started playing peek-a-boo with him. Now we have played it for a long time with her where we will cover our eyes with our hands and then move them and say “peek-a-boo.” And many times, Ariyana will take her bath towel while we are getting her dressed and cover her head and then move it to play peek-a-boo. But this is the first time that she has played with her hands, it was so adorable….she did it for like 20 minutes. she would cover her eyes (sometimes she would spread her fingers so she could still see us). Then we would say “where is Ariyana, where is she,” and eventually she would move her hands and crack up laughing. She was so funny, and had a blast doing it. I have it on video and will try to post it on here really soon.
